Privacy policy
Last updated 22 October 2026.
In short
- SagCoach stores what it needs to set up your suspension: your bikes, their components, your setups, your weight and, if you add one, a photo of your bike.
- Your data is hosted in the European Union, in Ireland.
- No ads, no audience measurement, no tracking. Your data is never sold or rented.
- You can export your data and delete your account from the app, at any time.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Pascal Fabresse, publisher of SagCoach (see the legal notice). For any question about your data: pascal@sagcoach.app.
This policy covers the SagCoach iPhone app and the sagcoach.app website.
What is stored
Your account
You sign in with Apple, Google or Facebook. There is no password and no email sign-in, and SagCoach never sends you emails. When you sign in, the provider you chose passes on an account identifier, your email address and, depending on the provider, your name and profile picture. With Apple, you can hide your email address: SagCoach then receives a relay address.
The account also keeps the date on which you confirmed you are 15 or older and accepted the terms.
What you enter in the app
- Your preferences: language, units, theme.
- Your riding weight, with the date of each entry.
- Your bikes: name, frame, size, wheels, travel, category and, if you fill them in, tyres, wheels, cockpit and pedals.
- Your components: fork and shock, and their settings.
- Your setups and all their versions.
- A photo of your bike, optional. Before uploading it, the app crops it, scales it down to 1,200 pixels per side and strips all its metadata, including the GPS location where it was taken. It is kept in a private space that only you can read.
- Your error reports on the catalogue: the record or value concerned, the right value and a note if you give them, the catalogue and app versions, the date.
The app does not collect your location, your contacts or any health data. Face ID lock is handled by iOS: SagCoach never receives your biometric data, only a yes or no answer.
On your phone
The app keeps a copy of your data on your iPhone so it works offline, and syncs it with your account when the network is back. A few settings stay on the phone only: the Face ID lock and the sign-in method you used last.
Why
- To provide the service: your account, bikes and setups, and their sync across your devices. Legal basis: performance of the contract you accept when you create your account.
- To fix the catalogue with your reports. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing correct values. Reports are reviewed without your name or email.
- To protect the service from abuse, for example by capping the number of reports per day. Legal basis: our legitimate interest.
Where your data is
Your data is hosted by Supabase, in its European Union region eu-west-1 (Ireland). Supabase acts as a processor. Every row in the database is tied to your account, and access rules prevent any other user from reading it. Traffic between the app and the server is encrypted (HTTPS).
Apple, Google and Facebook are only involved when you sign in, under their own privacy policies. For Facebook, the app uses Limited Login; automatic app events and advertising ID collection are turned off.
The sagcoach.app website is hosted by Vercel. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Like any host, Vercel processes technical logs (IP address, page requested) to serve and protect the pages.
No ads, no tracking
SagCoach shows no ads and includes no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Your data is never sold, rented or shared for commercial purposes.
How long
- Your data is kept for as long as your account exists.
- When you delete a bike, a component or a setup, it disappears from the app and from your other devices. On the server, it is marked as deleted so that sync removes it everywhere, and it is erased for good with your account.
- When you delete your account, everything is erased from the server: photos, bikes, setups, weights, preferences and reports.
Export and delete
Export your data
In the app: Settings, then Privacy, then Export my data. You get a JSON file with your profile, weights, bikes (and their photo if it is on this phone), components, setups with all their versions, and your reports. Save it or send it wherever you like.
Delete your account
In the app: Settings, then Delete my account, at the bottom of the screen. To confirm, you type DELETE. The app first erases your bike photos from the server, then your account and all your data, and finally clears the phone. You need a network connection. Deletion is permanent.
You can also ask for deletion by email at pascal@sagcoach.app.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right:
- of access to your data, and to get a copy;
- to rectification: most of it can be corrected directly in the app;
- to erasure: account deletion, in the app or by email;
- to portability: the JSON export, readable by other tools;
- to object and to restrict processing based on our legitimate interest.
To exercise these rights, email pascal@sagcoach.app. You will get an answer within one month. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL:cnil.fr/fr/plaintes, or by post: CNIL, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France. You can also contact the authority of the EU country where you live.
Minimum age
SagCoach is for people aged 15 or older. The app asks you to confirm this before you create your account.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with its date. The features announced as coming soon (SAG measurement, coach) will change it: it will then say exactly what they use, before they reach the app.
The French version of this policy is the reference version.
